About Us
AWE Topeka was established in 1993 through the Small Business Development Center at Washburn University by a group of visionary entrepreneurial women. Their mission was to create a nurturing and educational environment tailored to meet the unique needs of female business owners. By providing support, resources, and opportunities for growth, these pioneering women aimed to empower and inspire fellow entrepreneurs in the community. Through their efforts, AWE Topeka has become a cornerstone for women seeking to enhance their business acumen, connect with like-minded individuals, and thrive in their entrepreneurial endeavors.
