About Association of Women Entrepreneurs Topeka
Our History
AWE Topeka was organized in 1993 through the Small Business Development Center at Washburn University and a group of entrepreneurial women. These women were seeking a supportive and educational opportunity to meet the distinct needs of the female business owner.
Why Join?
AWE provides you with a unique opportunity to network with other female business owners to discuss the challenges and rewards you have encountered along the way. The exchange of ideas and viewpoints add to the knowledge and perspective so necessary in today’s business environment. Informative speakers, round-table discussions and informal meetings will give you a chance to improve your business skills in a creative and supportive environment.
AWE Topeka meets at 12 p.m. on the 4th Tuesday of every month at the TSCPL in the Anton Room, located at 1515 SW 10th, Topeka. Check out our Events page for monthly topics and meeting information. Annual dues are only $25 and there are no obligations – You’re not required to attend every meeting, but most members hate to miss any if they can help it!
